MICRO GREENS
A microgreen is a young vegetable that is used both as a visual, and flavour componenet or ingredient.
Microgreens can provide brightness in colour and diversity in flavour to any dish. Microgreens range in colour from dark green to yellow to fluorecent pink to bright purple and reds.
Microgreens are not only used as a garnish but also as an elemnt on their own.
Smaller than 'baby greens' and harvested later than sprout, microgreens can provide a variety of leaf flavours, sweet and spicy. Microgreens are more delicately flavoured than the full-grown plant.
Micorgreens are harvested as the first true leaves unfurl, approximately 10-20 days after germination- depending on the green.
